Therapy for Adults- mostly for fellow tired moms

I failed as a parent right from the beginning. I had my daughter in December of 2011, and I had ended up with an emergency c-section instead of the drug-free hippie birth I had so carefully planned. A few months later, my mom brought me the new People magazine with Beyonce on the cover. She had also had a baby that December, and she had just been crowned “The Most Beautiful Woman”. I read her interview through tears- how she had worn heels during her delivery, and how she felt sexiest when she got out of the shower. When I got out of the shower, I had milk running everywhere and didn’t recognize the strange body in the mirror.

Clearly, Beyonce was doing this right, and I was doing this wrong. I was barely a mom, and I had already failed spectacularly.

Then came all the advice- SO MUCH PARENTING ADVICE. Am I a gentle parent? A reactive parent? My kids don’t respond like the kids in the books, I must be doing this wrong. Do I even like being a parent?

IT IS SO HARD.

Fees

• I offer a free 15-minute initial phone consult for questions and to arrange intake paperwork to be sent

• Intake session- $190 (75-minute session) In this session we will go over intake forms, expectations/goals of therapy, and any current/historical information relevant to treatment

• Individual Therapy- $175 (55-minute session) Individual therapy sessions to work toward treatment goals
